You can celebrate Earth Day with your kids by teaching them how to be environmentally responsible. Moms Buzz found this wonderful site about Earth Day maintained by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, EPA, which has a wealth of information about how we can celebrate Earth Day at home, at school, in our community, at work and believe or not, while shopping!
There is even a whole section for kids! When you visit http://www.earthday.gov/kids.htm you will find links to environmentally relevant activities kids can do. Kids can also join the Environmental Kids Club sponsored by EPA. At the Environmental Kids Club, children will learn about:
- Air
- Water
- Garbage & Recycling
- Plants & Animals
- You & Your Environment
There is also:
- the Art Room
- the Game Room
- the Science Room
and much more. Visit the Environmental Kids Club, the Earth Day site to learn more about Earth Day and how you can contribute in being kind to our Earth!
