This is one of my favorite cocktails for happy hour at the Four Seasons San Francisco.
They do a variation on it though. it was published along with a story about the vodka in the San Francisco Chronicle. I have purchased bottles of Inniskillin for friends and gave them this recipe. WORKS FABULOUSLY.
Here's the recipe
FROSTBITE MARTINI
INGREDIENTS:
2 ounces Roth California Vodka
1/2 ounce Inniskillin ice wine
1/2 ounce white cranberry or white grape juice
1 teaspoon lemon juice
1 teaspoon simple syrup
Superfine sugar
A twist of lemon
1 teaspoon Creme de Cassis
Five or six seedless grapes, frozen
INSTRUCTIONS:
Fill a shaker with ice. Add the vodka, ice wine, juices and syrup. Give it a good shake and pour into a chilled martini glass rimmed with sugar. Twist the lemon over the drink to release its oils, then garnish the rim of the glass with it. Add the cassis and let it sink to the bottom of the glass. Serve the frozen grapes in a dish on the side.
Makes 1 drink
