Moms have a sixth sense as they say, but this Fall/Winter season, we need to use our other 4 senses too, look, listen, feel and smell, to do a morning health check on our children. These are the signs to observe so that we do not send our children sick to school and, thus, avoid spreading the illness to other kids:
- activity level
- skin color
- unusual spots or rashes
- swelling or bruises
- sores
- severe coughing, sneezing
- discharge from nose, eyes and ears
- breathing difficulties
- general mood or unusual behavior
Easy to do, but does require our 4 senses, and maybe the 6th one too for the morning health check!
Have a healthy Fall/Winter season!
