It is vacation season and many of us take off to a nice destination. Traveling with kids makes things a bit more complicated and packing is not something mothers look forward to when traveling. We are in charge of everyone's packing and sometimes even our partner's too! Organization is key when packing. Here is are some good packing tips for family travel:
Packing Tip #1 — Pack two suitcases. Pack two (or more) suitcases with clothes for the whole family in case one gets lost when traveling by air, train or boat. This particularly useful when traveling abroad.
Packing Tip #2 - Tape a luggage tag inside the bag. Tape a business, personal card with complete address, cellular phone and name inside the luggage in case identification tags get lost or ripped off.
Packing Tip #3 - Pack Complete Outfits in reusable bags. Pack and entire outfit for small children into large ziploc bags. This will help your children to be more helpful when you ask them to get dressed and help to keep their clothes orgazined.
Packing Tip #4 - Pack 2-3 Kitchen Trash Bags. Kitchen garbage bags are small, light and easy to pack and they make great dirty clothes hampers when you’re traveling.
Packing Tip #5 — Pack less and hand wash if necessary! We all do it! Pack too much and end up with clothes everywhere and some clothes never even get worn.
