Belafigura is a company started by a kidney cancer survivor, Minoo Mobin-Ventura, whose drive was to provide the proper coverage and support for breast cancer and other cancer survivors in artistic, stylish and beautiful swimwear designs. Belafigura and TigerLily Foundation, whose founder is also a breast cancer suvivor, have partnered to reach out and help in the race for the cure.
Belafigura's first public in-store launch of its swimwear line and fashion show is sponsored by Saks Fifth Avenue, KEY TO THE CURE, a charity shopping weekend taking place October 15 through October 18. This appearance of Belafigura during KET TO THE CURE, in Washington DC's exclusive shopping center, Tysons Galleria, is another show of commitment on behalf of Saks Fifth Avenue as a major contributor to raising breast cancer awareness and fight against breast cancer.
Nationwide, Saks stores, Saks Fifth Avenue OFF 5TH stores and saks.com will donate 2% of sales up to $250,000 from the shopping weekend to local and national women’s cancer organizations and research centers. Additionally, Saks will make a donation of $500,000 to The Breast Cancer Research Foundation®.
